Fat Panda is a slot game set in a peaceful bamboo grove, with soft green hues and gentle background sounds inspired by nature. The symbols include a contented panda, golden coins, lanterns, and traditional fans, each designed with a touch of Eastern flair. The reels move smoothly across a wooden frame, and subtle animations add a sense of calm to every spin. Friendly pandas occasionally appear to interact with players, adding a light-hearted charm. With its relaxing setting and appealing artwork, the game creates a welcoming atmosphere that anyone can enjoy at their own pace.

How to Play Fat Panda

Fat Panda is a slot game from Pragmatic Play with 5 reels and 20 fixed paylines. You can place bets starting at £0.20 and up to a maximum of £4.00 per spin. The objective is to form winning combinations by matching symbols from left to right across adjacent reels, beginning with the leftmost reel. Payouts are awarded for combinations on active paylines only, and only the highest win per payline is paid. If there are wins on multiple paylines, the values are summed for a total win. All wins are multiplied by the bet per line, and wins from bonus features are added to line wins. The game displays its return-to-player (RTP) figure in the game's paytable.

Paylines and Volatility

This slot features 20 distinct paylines, each with a unique pattern. Fat Panda is classed as a high volatility game, which means that wins might occur less frequently, but the potential for higher payouts is increased compared to lower-volatility slots.

Symbols and Special Features

Special Symbols

  • Scatter Symbol: Appears on all reels and is key to triggering the free spins feature.
  • Wild Symbol: Appears on all reels and substitutes for all other symbols except the Scatter, helping to complete winning combinations.

Top Reel Modifiers

Fat Panda includes a unique horizontal reel above the standard 5x3 slot grid. On each spin, this top reel can land on blanks or one of several modifiers that influence the reels below:

  • Add Wild: Randomly adds one Wild to a position below, but only if it will create a winning combination.
  • Expand Wild: Turns the reel below into a fully Wild vertical reel for the current spin, provided at least one Wild is already present in that column.
  • Add Wild Multiplier: Applies a multiplier (ranging from 2x to 10x) to all Wilds on the reel below. These multipliers affect wins that include the respective Wilds.
  • Add Multiplier to All Wilds: Adds a multiplier (2x-10x) to every Wild symbol currently on the screen. Multipliers on the same Wild combine by multiplication.

Free Spins Feature

  • Free spins are triggered by landing 3, 4 or 5 Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels, awarding 10, 12, or 15 free spins respectively.
  • The top modifier reel remains active during free spins, and all Wild symbols that land will stay locked in place for the duration of the feature.
  • Whenever the relevant modifier appears, 2 to 10 additional free spins can be awarded during the bonus round.
  • The free spins use a special set of reels, offering enhanced potential during this feature.

Maximum Win

The highest possible win in Fat Panda is capped at 20,000 times your bet in both the base game and during free spins. If this limit is reached during a free spins round, the round will end immediately and any unused free spins will be forfeited.
