About the Game

Reel Heist has a nicely done design and has a cartoon feel to it. Its reels are set against a US street scene. Symbols on the reels include lower value A to 10 card symbols, cuffs, sunglasses, a police badge, a cop’s hat, and more. The sunglasses pay up to 14x your stake per line, the handcuffs pay 19x your stake and the cop’s hat pays up to 29x your stake. The best paying of the standard symbols is the police badge. If you hit 3, 4 or 5 of them on a line, you’ll win 4x, 11x or 50x your stake.

Wild symbol - The cop is the game’s wild symbol. Unfortunately, he doesn’t offer any cash reward on his own. However, he is able to replace all the other symbols. When the cop hits the reels, he moves here and there up until he exists the reels. The cop symbol is instrumental in activating the game’s only feature.
Robbers feature- 1 of 5 robbers can enter the reels at any point during the game to help activate the Robbers feature. When this happens, the wild cop starts to chase him. A game of cat and mouse ensues, or rather, one of cops and robbers begins. The robber and cop each move a symbol position one step at a time. The cop can remove his baton to try and stun the robber, any successful shot at the robber moves the cop closer to him.

If the cop lands at the same spot as the robber, you get a catch. You then receive the multiplier reward (they’re different for each robber). These awards up to 32x, 64x, 80x, 128x or 2,000x your bet. It’s easy to catch multiple robbers at a go.

The Verdict

Reel Heist isn’t like other slot games you’re used to. It’s got a good design and the cartoon visuals work well. Some spinners love their slots full of features. If that’s you, look somewhere else.

Reel Heist is highly volatile, which is to say that you might go through long spells with few or no wins. Your best hope here is for the cop to make several arrests as this gives you quite some big swings here.
